Note to self.

Why did you start this blog?

While blogging can be an incredible way to start a community, gain popularity, and potentially monetize… That’s nice and everything, but after thinking long and hard, none of that REALLY matters.

I just want to be myself, share my thoughts and be heard, understood, valued. I know as I’m writing this, there will always be someone who listens and cares and that person is me. It’s a form of self care, telling myself that I’m something important that should be shared with the world.

No one really cares

The spotlight effect is a really interesting phenomenon where you think everyone’s watching you and cares about what you are doing. But if they’re anything like you, they’re probably more concerned with themselves. So if you’re on the fence or scared to share, remember that it’s very probable that no one gives a fuck anyway. Also it’s not like you’re forcing them to read your blog!

Build Better Habits

After Reading Atomic Habits by James Clear, I had the understanding of what it took to grow, but poor execution and low motivation.

One of the tips he shared to build a good habit was Make It Visible. This is me making my content visible, and sharing with the web and anyone who’ll read but mostly for myself.

Be Genuine

There’s only one of you, so live for yourself.
